Hearing Aid Not Turning On / No Sound: Causes & Fixes
Work through these in order
- Battery/charge depleted or charging contacts dirty — Place in charger 30 min; verify the charge LED responds. Clean charging contacts with the dry cloth.
- Wax guard fully blocked (the most common cause) — Change the wax guard — two minutes with the stick tool in your kit; this alone resolves the majority of dead-aid complaints.
- Dome clogged with wax — Remove and wipe/replace the silicone dome.
- Device in mute or stream-only state via app — Open the Signia app and check volume/program state; restart the aids (place in case 10 seconds, remove).
- Moisture ingress after humid day — Overnight in the drying capsule; retest in the morning.

If the issue survives the steps above — especially after a wax-guard change and a full night's drying — it's a service case.
