Travelling with Hearing Aids: Flights, Trains & Checklist
Airports and flights
Wear your aids through security — they do not need removal, and metal detectors/scanners do not harm them (tell the officer if asked; CISF staff know the category). Keep them ON during flights: cabin pressure doesn't affect them and you'll want announcements. Bluetooth in flight mode: enable your phone's flight mode first, then re-enable Bluetooth — streaming to aids is permitted like any headset.
The packing checklist
- Charging case + USB-C cable (charged before departure — 3+ spare charges)
- Power bank (charges the case anywhere)
- Spare wax guards and domes
- Drying capsule for humid destinations
- Cleaning cloth and brush
- Warranty card / our WhatsApp support number
On long train journeys, the closed case is the safest overnight home — never loose on the berth or under a pillow.
Abroad and remote support
Signia's international warranty network covers major countries for emergencies, and our remote-care support travels with you: sound issues abroad are usually resolved by a WhatsApp message and an over-the-air adjustment. Carry your audiogram PDF in email/phone storage — any audiologist worldwide can service programming with it.
