Bluetooth Hearing Aids: Calls, TV & Music Streaming Explained

What streaming actually gives you

Phone calls arrive in both ears simultaneously, pre-shaped by your prescription — routinely described by wearers as the feature they'd never give up, because two-ear streamed calls beat a handset held to one struggling ear by an enormous margin. Music, YouTube, WhatsApp voice notes and navigation prompts stream the same way. For television, Signia's StreamLine TV transmitter sends audio directly to your aids at your volume while the family keeps theirs.

Compatibility, minus the jargon

Signia devices support Made-for-iPhone (iOS) and ASHA (Android 10+ on mainstream brands — Samsung, Pixel, OnePlus, Xiaomi and others). Verify during your trial: our audiologist pairs the demo device to your phone before you decide. The Signia app (iOS/Android) adds volume/program control, a hearing-aid finder, and remote adjustments where your audiologist retunes your aids over the internet — no clinic visit.

Battery reality check

Streaming costs battery. Current IX models still finish a 16-hour day with ~5 hours of streaming inside it. Heavy streamers (8+ hours of calls/TV daily) should favour higher-tier models with bigger cells, or keep the charging case at the desk — a 30-minute top-up adds several hours.
